Thomas gets more than he bargains for when this jet engine speeds him around Sodor! As seen in the new “Thomas and the Jet Engine” story. Includes exclusive wooden Thomas the Tank Engine and battery-powered jet engine. Requires two AA batteries.
So, for a two piece Thomas the Train toy is ridiculous. My son enjoys it though. Of course he is smart enough to realize that the jet engine on the toy and the jet engine in the movie are not alike. Bottom line is watching your kid open this toy and play with it is worth it.

Thomas is a cheeky, fussy little engine. He’s often getting into scrapes, usually by being overeager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. Made of North American Maple, this top-notch wooden toy is elaborately detailed and built to last. Designed for use with your Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway System (sold separately), this Thomas Engine measures approximately 4 inches long.
Thomas the Tank is the signature bright-blue engine in the Thomas the Tank series. He does light yard work and pulls small passenger cars, such as Annie and Clarabel. Based on the award-winning television series Shining Time Station by the Reverend W. Awdry, the Thomas the Tank train system fulfills all of a child’s choo-choo dreams. Each vehicle has a different name, character, and face. It is wooden and 2 inches high with black plastic wheels. The magnetic bumpers at the ends of each vehicle make linkup easy. This item looked much larger in the picture than it actually was. I was surprised at the size, but I should have known by the price and if I had been more familiar with the product.

I bought this for use in a home daycare and the kids love it! They have played with it non stop. The quality of the train and track is great for the price.

Got this product as an impulse buy at Toys R US for my son’s 2nd Birthday. He owns a Thomas the train table and too many to count of the trains. This is an awesome product. My son loves it. You have to have trains with the gold magnet on them in order for it to recognize the train, lucky I had Percy. I have had no trouble with the crank or the build of the product. My 2 year old has pulled on the string, wound it back up. This crane seems heavy duty to me. You won’t be disappointed, I really like this one!

Sir Topham Hatt’s Car is a must-have for every little engineer’s collection! Sir Topham Hatt is the director of the railway and is responsible for making sure the engines are always “right on time” and “really useful.” Features convertible car styling and head moves up and down while car is in motion. Measures 1.75″L x 4.75″W x 4.75″H.
This character toy is unique as far as his ‘bumping’ up and down as he rolls along. Durable and cute. The only reason i purchased this item was because i could not find a single figurine of Sir Topham Hatt. I guess it is the epitome of our time…mostly spent in the car ;0)

We offered our grandchildren a ride on a train along with their parents.
None of us had ever ridden a train before.
We used your train whistle’s and a book about trains as a gift for the children.
We told them about why the train engineer blows the whistle on the train.
